UI Designer

Datarock is a mining technology company providing products and services to a diverse and growing range of clients across all commodities in the global mining and exploration industry. Our products leverage computer vision technologies to assist geologists and geotechnical engineers, extract geological and geotechnical information from imagery and video commonly collected in the mining environment.

Create visually stunning, intuitive, and easy-to-use products that users love, ensuring the design is elegant and the user experience exceptional
Collaborate closely with the product and development teams throughout the design process, ensuring consistency and quality across all product touch points
Design and maintain reusable UI components, contributing to a unified design system that adheres to best practices
Prepare and deliver digital assets, ensuring they are ready for implementation by the development team
Optimise designs to be visually appealing and functional across different screen sizes and devices.

A minimum of 4 years of experience as a UI Designer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, user-friendly designs
Good understanding of UX principles to inform visual direction
Experience working within an agile product environment and applying user-centred design methodologies
Deep knowledge of design fundamentals, including colour theory, typography, and layout principles
Experience in creating style guides and design systems, with a solid understanding of atomic design
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and a commitment to designing for inclusivity
Ability to balance creativity with business needs and technical constraints
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams
Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating visually compelling designs
A creative mindset with the ability to transform wireframes into visually striking designs.
