UX Designer
Power Factors develops software that accelerates the global energy transition by empowering owners and operators of renewable energy to collaborate, automate critical workflows, and make the best decisions to maximize asset returns.
Participate in company-wide discussions relative to current user interface initiatives and the future direction of design and user experience
Conduct interviews, user research and design thinking workshops to understand customer needs, mental models, tacit knowledge, and working contexts
Synthesize output of stakeholder research to design visualizations that effectively summarize key insights related to user behaviors and product definition
Be fluent in use of a design system and its applications in data-intensive software
Create annotated prototypes or wireframes of user interface designs that visually and textually communicate the behavior of a software application
Design, document and communicate interactions for complex software systems using a mix of narratives, storyboards, mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and assist to detail user story specifications
Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams comprised of UI developers, subject matter experts and product managers
Support the customer discovery process in collaboration with sales engineers, customer success managers, and product managers
Express UX and design concepts to collaborators by going beyond merely presenting designs to explain the story behind the rationale and benefit of design ideas
Rapidly iterate on novel design solutions for new and innovative products
Lead research and evaluation of designs as well as emerging technology, industry, and market trends
Work closely with the product owner to define epics and stories required to deliver the new features
Review features delivered by the developers to confirm UX standards have been respected
Participate in multiple value-added projects as required.
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to UX Design
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a member of UX design team in a high-tech company, ideally in the industrial and or manufacturing industry
Track record of successfully conceptualizing and executing projects
Strong understanding of Agile, Lean UX, and User-centered design methodologies
Experience designing interactions for complex systems – web- and mobile-based environments
Experience with desktop and mobile applications (reactive)
Skilled in standard design, wireframing, and interactive prototyping tools such as Adobe CC, Sketch, Balsamiq, Figma, Miro, Axure, InVision
Knowledge of modern software products and tools, especially React, iOS and MUI
Must be able to navigate differing opinions on designs and guide the thought process of cross-functional team members towards a user experience that meets the goals of our customers
Must have a portfolio or samples of work demonstrating design rationale and process
Effective facilitation, diagnostic and consultative skills; proactively anticipates the needs of clients; influences to reach best design outcome based on objectives
Ability to grasp and clearly communicate complex ideas to different audiences
Can-do attitude and hunger; you're eager to jump in and get things done but don't get flustered in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment
High level of self-motivation with ability to work both independently and interact effectively with various stakeholders in cross-functional teams
Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Desire to learn and understand new concepts or technologies quickly
Bilingual (Greek / English) is considered an asset.
